Client Stories

Reviews and project notes from studios who commissioned app analytics and financial audit applications for gaming monetization audits.

Evidence from completed engagements. Names of unreleased titles are withheld where NDAs require it.

Short notes

“They caught a storefront tax mismatch on our Mid-Autumn campaign that our internal finance sheet had rounded away for three quarters. The memo was dense, but our auditor finally stopped asking us the same clarifying question.”

— Finance lead, mid-core RPG publisher, Kuala Lumpur

“The IAP funnel reconstruction took longer than we hoped — our event schema was messier than we admitted — but the payout variance findings paid for the engagement on the first corrected settlement.”

— Live-ops director, casual portfolio studio

“We asked for a light reconciliation and got a polite pushback that the scope was too thin for the questions we actually had. They were right; we expanded to a full integrity audit and still finished inside the revised calendar.”

— COO, Southeast Asian publisher

“Clear on what they would not do: no ERP posting, no tax filing. That honesty made procurement easier.”

— Procurement manager, digital entertainment group

Extended story: Festival season restatement

A hybrid RPG with IAP and rewarded video ran a two-week regional festival. Live-ops reported record gross; finance saw a flatter bank deposit pattern. Our Monetization Integrity Audit covered the festival window plus the trailing two weeks of refunds.

Constraint: mediation partner files arrived five days late, compressing the challenge pass.

Work: reconstructed offer-wall credits that had been booked as IAP, separated FX on USD settlements into MYR books, and flagged a SKU whose regional price tier never updated after a storefront policy change.

Outcome: finance restated the month with a documented bridge; live-ops adjusted the next festival’s reporting pack before the board pack freeze.

Extended story: Soft-launch funnel integrity

A new mid-core title soft-launched in two ASEAN markets. Purchase conversion looked healthy in the vendor dashboard but refund rates were climbing. The IAP Funnel Analytics Review traced refunds to a localization error on the confirmation screen — players thought they were buying a smaller pack.

Reservation from the client: they wished we had been brought in before soft launch rather than mid-spike. We agree; funnel reviews are cheaper when instrumentation is still malleable.
